Our Journey to HerdHub

Hello! We're Ashley and John, the founders of HerdHub. Our story isn't your typical tech startup tale. It began in the bustling financial district of London, where the city's pulse was matched only by the intensity of our careers. But beneath the surface of spreadsheets and software, there was a call to the wild that we couldn't ignore.

With a shared dream of wide-open spaces and a sustainable way of life, we traded our city views for the pristine landscapes of Arctic Sweden. Here, among the rugged beauty, we began our new life as yak farmers. It was a stark contrast to our previous lives, but it was where we found our true passion.

However, we quickly realized that our new venture came with challenges that no off-the-shelf software could solve. That's where HerdHub was born – out of necessity, crafted by hands that knew the financial world's precision and the unyielding demands of farming.

Built on a Foundation of Expertise and Experience

Ashley after a career in Finance whilst taking time off to look after their daughter, retrained, with a degree in Vet Science from the University of Illinois and is currently working towards a Ph.D. in Agriculture from Aberystwyth University, brought a wealth of knowledge in animal health and agricultural practices. Her insight into the intricacies of livestock management became the heartbeat of HerdHub.

John, with expertise in IT and programming, engineered the backbone of HerdHub, ensuring that it was robust, intuitive, and, most importantly, tailored to the needs of modern farmers who require precision and reliability.
